Summer is on its way and to me that rings tanned dewy skin and juicy lips. When browsing on Morphe I came across their lip glosses which were on sale (50% off!) so of course, I indulged and bought myself a couple of shades to test out. I have always respected Morphe as a brand for their affordability without compromising their quality so if you want to hear about my experience and opinions of these lip glosses read on…

What it claims: “Now playing: 26 high-shine, never-sticky lip gloss shades. This lineup of fine-tuned hues pairs an addictively buttery formula up with cream and shimmer finishes for sheer-to-full coverage. You don’t want to miss this show, Morphe Babe.”
- Sheer simmers to full-on creams
- Buttery formula
- Instant shine power
Packaging
At first glance, the packaging appears very sleek and chic. They are very light and thin so would easily fit in your bag or purse to re-apply. Nonetheless, the packaging is a cheaper plastic and I sometimes found when screwing the lid back it did not line up properly which could be annoying for some people. However, when reapplying away from home the gloss looks elegant from a distance so it would not exactly be a big problem!
Application
This gloss is a dream to apply and the shape of the applicator is perfect for my lips meaning I can effortlessly apply without a mirror. The doe-foot applicator is long and thin (similar to the NYX lip lingerie) which aids with precision which will be helpful with some of the darker shades when you are wanting to be meticulous. I found one swipe was enough to apply the perfect amount of product any more and I think you’d run into the risk of gloopiness.
Formula/Wear
As Morphe stated these glosses are never-sticky, buttery smooth with high shine they are comparable to Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb. I am pleasantly surprised with the formula of these considering the price as most drugstore lip glosses have some element of stickiness. They are highly pigmented and add that wow-factor to any look. Throughout wearing them, I found that they kept my lips hydrated and lasted a decent amount of time for a gloss, you definitely have to re-apply after eating but that is a given for all glosses.
Shades
As pictured below, you can see that there is a wide range of shades and hues so you’re bound to find one that is up your alley. The collection consists of shimmers and creams so depending on your preference you’ll have many options. Their website has high quality, close up photos on light and dark skin making the process of choosing shades a delight.
Pros
- Extensive shade range with a variety of shimmers and creams
- Highly pigmented
- Non-sticky, buttery, high-shine formula
- Great price point
- Sleek style packaging
Cons
- Packaging can feel tacky
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, these lip glosses were a great purchase and I will continue using them throughout spring and summer. So far, one of the best formulas I have tried with a drugstore price so I am impressed and would recommend that if you are on the hunt for new lip glosses and any of the shades caught your eye I would suggest you get it a whirl!
