Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara

Over the last week or two, I have been testing out the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara. I bought this mascara on Black Friday which took its usual price of £21 down to £9! So, of course, I snapped up that bargain and eagerly waited for it to drop on my doormat. I have seen so many bloggers and YouTubers rave about this mascara so I was keen to give it a try!

Packaging

My first was how unique the packaging is! The style made the mascara easier to grip but in my personal opinion, it felt quite tacky as the material was plastic.

Ingredients

These are the ones listed on Tarte’s website and what they do:

Olive esters: conditions, treats and protects lashes
Rice bran wax: natural wax that helps lengthen the appearance of lashes
Carnauba wax: An emollient from the leaves of the carnauba palm to ensure a smooth application
Provitamin B5: helps hydrate & improve the appearance of lashes
mineral pigments: soothe & soften the skin around the lash line
Vitamin C: antioxidant that helps fight free radicals

Application

I found this mascara give volume and length in only a few swipes. Mascara that takes ages to build up drives me up the wall so this one is a godsend! The wand is a great size that it is not too big making me get mascara all around my eye (which I do a lot). It also builds up the volume without producing a single clump giving me beautiful fluttery eyelashes.

Wear

This mascara does not flake or smudge during the day even though it is not waterproof which makes it a delight to take off at the end of the day.

Overall, this mascara is one I will be using regularly as it darkens lashes and makes them look extremely long (even though mine are stubby short things). I also love how easily this separates my lashes, even after multiple layers. It has great staying power, while still being easy to remove so if you haven’t already, definitely pick up this mascara and give it a try.
