Like me, you have likely been told you need to moisturise every day or at least every other day to keep your skin smooth and youthful as you age. However, I have admittedly not been able to stick to a solid moisturising routine thus I suffer from ashen, flaky legs most of the time. As someone who does not have the patience for a moisturiser to sink in, I have had bad experiences with sticky clothes and uncomfortableness throughout the day.
Consequently, I have always been on the hunt for a moisturiser that will make the process as stress-free as possible. The marketing of this body ‘yogurt’ caught my attention and seemed like the ideal product for me and my aversive to sticky skin! So, read on to hear how I got on with this moisturiser…

Available at: The Body Shop (UK), The Body Shop (US), Ulta,
What it claims: “Meet our Body Yogurts. Cruelty-free these fast-absorbing moisturisers have a lightweight, gel-cream texture that’s suitable for all skin types, including dry skin. Apply straight onto damp skin for 48hr moisture and for glowing, healthy-looking skin. Made with Community Trade almond milk from Spain, pick from six nature-inspired flavours including Mango, Strawberry and British Rose.”
Formula
What is unique about these moisturisers is that they do indeed feel like yogurt! The formula is super thin, slippery and almost gel-like. When applied to the skin it feels super cooling and refreshing leaving no residue or stickiness to the touch. I found I did indeed feel comfortable enough to dress or get straight into bed after applying without any uncomfortable stickiness like usual.
Effectiveness
Due to this moisturiser being so lightweight I would expect you to have concerns over the effectiveness of the product as I did too. Yet, this product is indeed moisturising and nourished any ashen or flaky patches on my legs (which is my primary concern) and eased the subtle tightness in my skin on my upper body that I get when my skin is particularly dehydrated.
I would indeed recommend applying the body yogurt daily, preferably after showering, for the full effect even though The Body Shop does say it last 48 hours.
Scents
I have always thought The Body Shop nail their scents providing an assorted range that will have something for everyone. If you are more of a sweet tooth like me you will adore Strawberry nevertheless if you prefer subtle, toned-down scents Almond Milk or British Rose may be more up your alley! In the past, I have seen several scents included in special edition ranges so keep an eye out for them if you feel that is something you would fancy.
Scents Available:
- Pink Grapefruit
- Moringa
- Strawberry
- Almond Milk (For sensitive skin)
- British Rose
- Mango
- Zesty Lemon (Special Edition)
- Cool Cucumber (Special Edition)
Pros
- Lightweight + Fast Absorbing
- Most scents are vegan!
- Moisturising and smoothing
- A variety of yummy scents for every preference
Cons
- It is a relatively small pot that may be used up quickly if you are moisturising your whole body regularly
Final Thoughts
This is the ultimate summer moisturiser that is fast-absorbing and lightweight ensuring you don’t feel sticky throughout the day. Throughout winter I found this moisturiser to be as effective and essential as nothing is worse when you get hot and flustered in multiple layers and you can feel the stickiness of your moisturiser clinging to your clothes.
If you cannot tell already I very much encourage you to give one of these moisturisers a go if you are on the hunt for something more lightweight and fuss-free that you could use on the daily.
