As a brand, I love love love Zoeva, especially their brushes which I am a great lover and user of! I had seen rave reviews online of people gushing online about Zoeva’s eyeshadow palettes, so it wasn’t long before I got my hands on a couple. What caught my eye about this palette along with the Cocoa Blend palette is the confectionary inspired description of the shades such as ‘golden creme brulee nuances’ and ‘warm toffee tones’. So without further ado read on to hear my review of the Zoeva Caramel Melange Eyeshadow Palette…

Shades
These gorgeous shades are extremely flattering and suitable for all skin tones. This palette has a stunning variety of warm golden and berry tones which can easily be paired to create a multitude of looks. It is the ideal palette for someone wanting to explore warmer tones as the ratio of matte and shimmers makes it so simple to wear an easy daytime look or a deeper smoked-out look. As someone with blue eyes, I find warmer tones make them appear much brighter and allow them to stand out and I can also see these shades nicely complimenting those with chocolate or light brown eyes too!

Packaging
The design of this package is incredibly sleek and thin, making it perfect for travel and storage. The chocolate brown and metallic gold look stunning together and catch the light making the palette looking incredibly high end and complements the butterscotch tones beautifully. Even though it is a compact palette, the pan size is of each eyeshadow is a decent size you could even say on the larger size, which makes picking up the product with your brush super easy! Also, the minimalist design that Zoeva always opt for their palettes is so clean and makes me enjoy the experience of using the palette even more.
Application
To apply the matte shades, I like to use a fluffy blending brush to buff into the crease – Zoeva 221 Luxe Soft Crease Brush is always a winner. I found on application they blended pretty evenly with minimal fallout or kick pack even on the darker shades. When applying the shimmer shades as per most palettes, it is best to either use your finger or a dampened flat brush to pack on the lid as that will give the most shimmer pay off.
Formula/Wear
These shadows are very pigmented, smooth and super easy to blend. They are foolproof to work with as they blend so effortlessly. The shimmer shades wear exceptionally well, especially when packed onto an eyeshadow primer/base which evens out the lid allowing the colour to stand out. The matte shades felt buttery to the touch and did not fade even after hours of wear.
Pros
- Smooth, buttery and easy to blend shadows
- Highly pigmented
- Excellent longevity
- Travel-friendly packaging
Cons
- The only thing I would change is to add a mirror and this would be the ultimate palette
Final Thoughts
This palette shows that Zoeva know more than just brushes and that makes me eager to try more of their products such as their foundation. The quality is highly comparable to eyeshadows from Urban Decay and Anastasia Beverly Hills but half the price. The price point isn’t exactly drugstore so Zoeva is hovering somewhere in the middle nonetheless, I am keen to experiment more with their products and I will get back to you if I find anything else extraordinary… stay tuned!
