Glossier Cloud Paint
Price: £15/$18 (or a duo for £25/$30)
Shades: 6
What it claims: “A seamless, buildable gel-cream blush that’s fun and easy to wear
- Lightweight, pillowy formula that instantly blends into a natural, flushed-from-within glow
- If you can fingerpaint, you can Cloud Paint—simply dab it onto cheeks wherever you like, and tap into skin
- Comes in six shades inspired by NYC sunsets, optimized to work across a wide range of skin tones”
Packaging
The cloud paint comes in small acrylic paint-esque packaging with a minimal design. The product feels quite miniature making it easy to travel with as it will fit neatly in your makeup bag (make sure the lid is screwed on properly though I made that mistake!) At first, that may be a turn-off, however, the tiniest bit of this blush goes a very long way so you’ll find yourself surprised at how long it lasts!
Application
For the best results, you squeeze a tiny dot onto your finger and tap lightly onto the cheek area starting at the apples of the cheeks moving further back. When mixing two colours you can combine the two on the back of your hand and pat the product on in the same way. It is a super quick process that can be done after foundation, preferably before any setting powder just so the product blends seamlessly although, it can be done after without disrupting the base.
Formula/Wear
The blush is a thin, lightweight, gel-cream that is buildable and very easy to wear. This product is super pigmented so you’ll only need the tiniest amount to create the desired effect, keeping the natural look of the skin. The subtle colours give you a healthy glow that is harder to recreate with a powder blush.
This formula lasts all day! The paint seems to set onto your skin and not budge during the day compared to many powder blushes which have a tendency to faint after hours of wear.
Shades
They have a great set of shades that are made to complement any skin tone. They can also be mixed to create custom shades so you have an infinite amount of possibilities. Glossier said that they were inspired by the NYC sunset to get these gorgeous, natural shades which give that flushed from within glow.
