I am a lover of all the Naked Palettes from Urban Decay owning a large amount myself and frequently using. So obviously, when they released another palette that was not in the Naked range I was left intrigued. From first glance, I prefer the style and layout of this palette over the Naked ones due to pan shape/size! Keep on reading to see whether the quality can compare…

Packaging
I love the packaging of this product. For the number of shades in this palette it is not large or bulky which is easy to hold with one hand. It is sleek but feels sturdy and durable. The photos on the front are gorgeous and give me a little bit of joy every time I use the palette reminding me of good times. I love love love the large mirror and being able to completely open the lid and fold it back to lay flat on a desk. This is the perfect palette to travel with definitely! Urban Decay definitely fulfilled this specification.
Application
Overall, I find the application of these shadows easy to use as they blend well without being choppy. I would like to add that especially the matte shades have a bit of kickback so you will want to tap your brush well before applying to lessen any fallout.
Formula/Wear
I found these shadows smooth, pigmented and easy to blend. Similar to most palettes I would recommend wetting the brush or using your finger with the more foiled/metallic shades to keep the colour pay off saturated. I would always use an eye primer to ensure ultimate colour pay off, blend and longevity such as P.Louise Base or Urban Decay Primer Potion. With the use of an eye primer, I have found these eyeshadows stay in place all day without significant fading.
Pros
- Travel-friendly sleek packaging
- Great variety of shades (including transitions!)
- High quality – Pigmented, Blendable and Long-wearing
- Value for money for the number of shades and high-quality brand
Cons
- Kick back can lead to fall out
Final Thoughts
Considering all the above, this palette is a must-have for frequent travellers even those who simply love a compact palette with lots of variety! From packaging to eyeshadow quality this is a thumbs up from me so if you are at all intrigued and an Urban Decay fan I would say give it a go you won’t regret it!
