Completely natural-looking coverage.”
Packaging
NARS packaging is always sleek and minimalist, and this product fits right in with that branding. The glass bottom feels luxurious, and the screw top keeps the product secure. It is compact, which is makes it easy to travel with or carry around if you feel the need to top up later in the day before going out.
Shades
There is a decent amount of shades, but I think there is room for expansion especially in the deep skin category to match the variety in the medium category which you may agree with if you look in the photo below.
Application
There is a variety of ways you can apply this concealer for different problems. To cover blemishes, I apply this concealer under my foundation using the Zoeva Concealer Buffer Brush but dabbing a light layer on spots and not blending it in. I will then go in with my foundation over the top with my Beauty Blender melting everything together, creating a smooth, seamless base. I prefer to use a Beauty Blender to apply this concealer under my eyes after foundation and then set with a loose powder.
Coverage
This concealer is high coverage without being too thick. The creamy texture makes it melt onto the skin while maintaining its coverage. I suffer from stubborn cystic spots that are very red, and most concealers cannot fully cover them, BUT this concealer is a game-changer for me.
Formula/Wear
This a creamy concealer that sets to a matte finish which makes it perfect for use on the face as it sets and doesn’t move around. As it is matte, it can be a bit dry on breakouts that may be healing and scabby (gross I know!) and gather on them but what concealer doesn’t do that? This concealer wears well under the eyes when used with a damp Beauty Blender as the added moisture thins the formula making it sit well on the gentle skin. The coverage is still fantastic and cancels out any blue/purple tones flawlessly. When set with loose powder, I found it did not settle into the deeper fine line I have under my eye, so that’s a good sign!
Pros
- High coverage covering the stubbornest of spots
- Long-wearing
- Non-cakey formula
- Multi-use
Cons
- Could use with darker shades of various undertones
- May be expensive – £24
Final Thoughts
I have used this concealer every day for months and have almost finished the tub! This concealer makes me feel flawless, effortlessly covering my stubborn cystic acne that seems to hang around for weeks on end. This concealer has changed the game for and I will definitely be repurchasing it and if you have not given it ago yet I would recommend you do too!
