As the summer months fade away so is my (short-lived) tan. I am someone that wants to look like I’ve just been on holiday ALL year round no matter if there is snow on the ground. Bronzer is one of the things I am very picky with when it comes to tone, finish and blendability as with my fair skin bronzer can easily look harsh and orange. Read on to hear my judgement on the Morphe Glamabronze collection…

What it claims: “Go on with your bronze self. This super-sized face and body bronzer delivers a buildable bronze and tan-tastic matte finish with the sweep of a brush. So, go ahead and bask in sun kissed perfection. It’s sexy beach vibes all the way.”
Packaging
There are two sets of this packaging. Originally this bronzer was released in 3 shades (Icon, Megastar and Phenom) in limited edition pink and gold packaging which is gorgeous and perfect for a summer collection. Morphe has since re-released the bronzer due to high demand with a wider selection of shades (which is great!) in black and gold similar styled packaging that gives me Great Gatsby vibes.
As this is a face & body bronzer the pan is very large meaning it’s easy for you to use with any size brush you prefer and you get more product!
Shades
In my opinion, the shade range is quite inclusive and wider than its competitors like Benefit, NARS and MAC. It’s refreshing to see a bronzer range that is targeted for very fair skin and deeper skin tones. As someone with very fair skin, I own both Mastermind and Icon which are the two palest shades.
Mastermind is suitable to wear at my palest in winter with no fake tan and Icon is my summer, fake-tanned bronzer. Both of them do lean towards the warmer, terracotta hue which I enjoy and do love to wear as I prefer a warm complexion but it is something you may want to bear in mind if you prefer cooler toned bronzers.
Application
I enjoy using the Glamabronze Deluxe Face & Body Brush that came out in the same collection as the bronzers. Morphe has an excellent reputation for high quality, good value brushes and this one is no exception. It works extremely well with this bronzer as the tapered shape easily places and diffuses the colour blending everything evenly, and it works great to blend down the neck and on the décolletage which I often do to tie everything together.
Formula/Wear
This bronzer is very pigmented and I would recommend building it slowly because it’s easier to build up the colour further than bring it back down. This means it is not exactly foolproof and would require some level of experience with bronzer. However, it is easily blended and does not look muddy which is what we look for in a bronzer. I found it wore a long time and didn’t fade so I had no problems with longevity as well.
Pros
- Wide shade range
- Large pan size + more product
- Pigmented
- Blends easy
- Dual purpose for face + body
Cons
- Mostly warm toned which could appear orange/red on certain skin tones
- Some experience/technique needed to not go overboard
Final Thoughts
Overall, I LOVE this bronzer and think it is such good value for money due to the size of the pan and the quality of the product. The wider shade range is pushing the industry in the correct direction and setting a high standard which other brands should follow. If you are looking for a new bronzer I would 100% recommend you give this one a go!
