If you know me you’ll already know I am a foundation fanatic and will always be buying and trying new foundations I find. I am a believer in perfecting the base of your makeup to get a gorgeous end result (nothing is worse than a mismatched cakey mess am I right ladies?). So of course when I heard the raving reviews of L’Oréal’s new addition to their Infallible line I jumped and here is my opinion.

Packaging
The packaging is a sleek and simple glass bottle that makes it easy to see into so you can assess how much product you have left and easily see the shades which is handy if you have a few. The bottle comes with a pump which always a bonus for me as I like to be controlled with the amount of product I use helping to reduce any waste.
Coverage
With one pump over the whole face, I felt that it generally evened out my complexion well and would be very easy and comfortable to wear for an everyday foundation. I did have a couple of my scars and active acne at the time poke through but I have become more confident with embracing that natural part of my skin instead of covering it up too much causing makeup to look heavy so I would easily wear one pump of this foundation for daytime.
For the point of the review, I added one more pump over the top which layered up nicely toning down my redness further but about three of my reddest spots continued to peak through slightly. Overall, I would say the coverage is a medium buildable as it evens out the general colour of your face but do not expect your acne to be completely covered just simply toned down.
Shades
Overall, the shade range is impressive for a drugstore foundation and seems to have a wide variety however I could see room for about two or so shades in the very deep dark section that varies in undertone but other than that I am impressed! For reference, I use the shade 425 Linen.
Application
As usual, I use about one-two pumps of the foundation for my whole face overall depending on the day. I always build my foundation by starting with just one pump then applying more where I feel I need higher coverage which is usually on my cheeks as I find this leaves my skin with the best finish and most natural-looking texture. I use a damp Beauty Blender to bounce the foundation into my skin as I feel it gives me the most skin-like texture with no streaks even though sponges they have a tendency to soak up product. One thing I would like to note is that when applying my second layer of the foundation I could tell that the foundation had oxidised about a shade darker so I would recommend that if you are between shades to go for the lighter one (which I luckily did!).
Wear
On application, I felt the foundation was almost a satin finish as it had a glow in the high points of my face but it felt as though it had set down already before I applied my powder as it wasn’t transferring onto my fingers when pressed. To set my face I did a very light dusting of Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder all over. As I have drier skin I tend not to have problems with oils peeking through as the day goes on so I can’t comment on that particularly but I found this foundation did wear well and held its ground on my skin. It did not begin flaking over in my ‘moustache’ area and around my nose which are my problem areas which is AMAZING!
Pros
- Relatively inexpensive for a foundation that is comparable to higher-end
- Easy to use packaging (with a pump!!)
- Wide shade range with a variation of undertones
- Great wear time and stayed looking fresh on the skin
Cons
- Can oxidise a shade darker
- Won’t cover acne completely (if that is a large want for you)
Final Thoughts
I would say this foundation is a win! I am definitely going to continue using this and I feel it will be perfect for a variety of occasions from an easy everyday foundation to going out due to its long wear time. If you are on the fence I would highly recommend you give this foundation a go as it is relatively inexpensive and frequently on sale on websites such as Lookfantastic and Feelunique so why not!
