I am a big fan of L’Oreal products and I am not new to the Infallible line which consists of a primer, foundation, powder and setting spray. I have previously used the foundation and setting spray and fell in love with both (especially the foundation). So I went into using this product with high expectations so read on to see if they were met!

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Mattifying Primer
Price: £8.99
Available at: Feelunique, LookFantastic (USA) (UK), ASOS
What it claims: “Our first priming base in a gel that mattifies the skin.
- Prepares and smoothes skin by minimising imperfections, pores and shine.
- Mattifying effect
- Instantly transforms skins texture for an even surface with velvet-soft touch.
- Foundation glides seamlessly across it”
Packaging
The packaging is lightweight thus very practical and travel-friendly whilst looking sleek and the small nozzle at the end made application mess-free. There is 35ml of product which is a good amount as a lot of primers hit the 30ml mark. It is a clear silicone primer which looks and feels very similar to the Maybelline baby skin primer but slightly thicker.
Wear
The primer is a light-weight, mattifying, silicone primer. It smooths over fine lines and blurs pores nicely and it really does make the foundation glide on with ease. However, I would say this primer is more smoothening than mattifying as on application it reduces excess shine but does not leave the skin looking flat. This is probably why it works on my combination skin as it does not exaggerate any dry patches.
Pros
- Easy to use packaging
- Smooths fine lines and blurs pores
- Does not cling to dry patches
Cons
- Not exactly mattifying
